Shimmering Shanghai is a floral fragrance in which rose plays a particularly important role. Lychee and rhubarb add a juicy and slightly tart fruitiness. Bergamot provides additional freshness, while nutmeg lends the scent a finely spicy side.

Jasmine, ylang-ylang, and other floral notes combine with various rose accords to create a lush bouquet. The lychee remains an important counterbalance, preventing the composition from feeling exclusively floral. Powdery notes give Shimmering Shanghai an additional soft and elegant texture.

Tonka bean, vanilla, sugar, and musk give the fragrance its sweeter side. Incense, cedar, vetiver, and cashmeran, in turn, introduce drier and woody accents, providing additional depth.

Shimmering Shanghai is thus clearly defined by rose and floral notes, yet gains a vibrant fruitiness from lychee and rhubarb. The combination of blossoms, light acidity, spices, and a soft sweetness makes it significantly more complex than a classic rose fragrance.

If you particularly enjoy the rose, lychee, and rhubarb notes in Shimmering Shanghai, Nel by Kinetic is a very suitable alternative. It also features these notes, but Nel feels fruitier and slightly lighter due to the addition of apple, blackberry, and magnolia. The scope of delivery includes a 2 ml fragrance sample. Please use it to test the fragrance before opening the bottle. As long as the original packaging and seal remain unopened, you can return the item within 14 days. For hygienic reasons, opened bottles are excluded from return. You are responsible for organizing the return shipment by sending it to the address provided in our return policy. We do not provide a prepaid return label. Shipping

We ship via Swiss Post within Switzerland and to Liechtenstein. For orders up to CHF 150.–, shipping costs are CHF 4.90. For orders of CHF 150.– and over, we offer free shipping. Your order will generally be delivered within one to three working days. As soon as your package leaves our facility, you will receive a shipping confirmation via email containing your Swiss Post tracking number.
